Our Potable Water Systems are designed to ensure that potable water can be delivered safely on site. We utilise two SCP pumps with stainless internals, and internally coat the cast iron casing with an approved AS4020 coating. One of the SCP pumps is driven by a 15kW 2Pole electric motor via the use of a RRS Jaw Flex coupling, whilst the other is driven by a C1.5NA diesel engine via a driveshaft plate that attaches to the flywheel, and a driveshaft. The diesel engine is also mounted on P4.5CTF vibration mounts to reduce the amount of vibration transferred from the diesel engine through the base frame.
The system utilises stainless steel pipework, designed and fabricated in house by Dynapumps, suitable for a potable water application. Stainless watermarked valves are used throughout. The pipework is grooved for ease of installation and maintenance, and stainless grooved fittings are utilised throughout.
Control panels are also being supplied for automatic stopping and starting of the potable water system. Dynapumps have designed, wired and tested the electrical control panel to drive the electric driven potable pump, whilst have supplied the control panel and charger panel to suit the diesel engine. Two pressure switches will be installed into the discharge header; an IFM PK5523 for the electric driven pump, and a PPT300C for the diesel driven pump. The intent of these switches is to turn on the pumps upon a low pressure condition in the system. The diesel pressure switch set point is set lower than the set point of the electric pressure switch, as the diesel driven pump is only to be started in case the electric driven pump fails to start or maintain pressure in the system.
Dynapumps also designs and fabricates the base frame and fuel tank in house. The fuel tank is installed with a level sensor that relays information back to the panel to detail the level of diesel in the tank.
