Integrally produced by Argal in its plant located in Italy, they are created by RTM injection moulding technology: parts are manufactured laying long-strand fiberglass mat in moulds before injecting the resin. The use of fiberglass mat of different weight, texture orientation and numbers, reinforces the structure of the pump in the most mechanically solicited areas and at the same time offers high-quality surface finish and excellent chemical resistance of the wetted surfaces. Saturn pumps are available in two versions: ZGS (long-coupled) and ZMS (close-coupled) made in accordance with ANSI/ASME B73.1.
Capacity: up to 1350 m3/h
Construction: close or long coupled
Motor powers: kW 3 ÷ 160
Wetted parts: Fiberglass
Applications
The design and the inherent resistance of FRP confer to these pumps the mechanical strength that can be compared to pumps constructed with metallic alloys. The construction available with different blends of epoxy-vinyl-ester makes these pumps resistant to a broader list of corrosive and moderately abrasive chemicals.
They can operate for common use and for seawater applications: as an alternative for metallic pumps, they ideally operate in water treatment applications, seawater aquarium, depuration of municipal and industrial wastewaters, as well as in general productive processes deploying chemical fluids.
