One of the largest iron ore producers approached Dynapumps for the design and supply of a packaged booster station with in-built water retention for fast delivery to the site.

The iron ore company required additional water flow and pressure to overcome sporadic flow and pressure issues faced during washdown activities like pre-shutdown wash and chute blockage events.

The packaged system sits in line with the current pipework to the transfer station, with a total of 40,000L of onboard liquid storage to overcome supply inconsistencies. The Grundfos CRI 45-5 vertical multistage pump provides a constant 8 bar of pressure downstream thanks to the ABB ASC880 VSD, housed in a custom panel designed and built by Dynapumps.

The entire package has been designed with arduous conditions in mind, meeting the cyclonic wind requirements necessary for the installation location. The turn-key system was delivered on time to a valued client who will no longer have water issues for washdown.
